Growth hormone treatment of fibromyalgia

Question:
I am looking to contact people with fibromyalgia/chronic fatigue syndrome who are currently receiving treatment with human growth hormone to ask them about their experience.I am considering this treatment for myself.

Answer:
I have fibromyalgia, diabetes and arthritis. For the past year, I have participated in a double-blind study of recombinant human nerve growth factor for persons with diabetic neuropathy. I believe I have been on the placebo because it has not helped my neuropathy/FM and because if you are on "the drug" it can cause swelling at the injection site. I have agreed to be on the extension study that will allow me to have the real thing. I should start in 2 weeks. I have to take 3 injections/week and will be given a six month supply free until such time as the drug manufacturer brings it on the market. You and the group's prayers are needed. I will let you know how things are going.
